INTERNATIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE-or- INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Location: San Diego, CA
Products: Rapid Lateral Flow ImmunoassayTests
Territory:  Latin America, SE Asia, Middle East, Europe, Eastern Europe

A San Diego based manufacturer and marketer of Rapid Point of Care Lateral Flow immunoassay devices and instruments  for the Fertility, Infectious Disease, Drugs of Abuse, Cancer Marker, Cardiovascular etc. markets is seeking an experienced International Sales Rep or Sales Manager candidate for its home office in San Diego.
 
(NOTE: the amount and strength of the previous sales experience will determine if the candidate will be considered for a Sales Manager level position) 

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in science or healthcare related business credentials or equivalent and three years sales experience with a successful track record of field sales in the international diagnostics marketplace in the Clinical Diagnostics products marketplace. Rapid diagnostic products (specifically Lateral Flow Immunoassay Devices) sales experience is strongly preferred. To be considered for an International Sales Manager level position, you must have 3-5 years of previous sales management experience in the clinical diagnostics marketplace.  Retail, wholesale, distribution, government bids sales experience is desirable. Must be proficient with data analysis and market data interpretation. Fluency in foreign languages is highly desired such as: Spanish, Portugese, Chinese, German, Japanese etc.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office word processing, email, presentation, and spreadsheet software, Contact software, and use of laptop computers. The ideal candidate should be very familiar with US FDA and international local government diagnostic product regulatory requirements to allow for the marketing of these products in their respective territories.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet or exceed set sales and corporate goals by developing and implementing a territory business plan encompassing all key customer targets. Develop and maintain relationships with influential distributors in the territory.

Achieve or exceed corporate call objectives by proactively identifying key targets and developing the appropriate action plan to influence their distributor targets purchasing habits regarding the use of Alfa products.

Deliver clinically accurate presentations of Alfa products to targeted distributors and potential end-users and other appropriate health care audiences. Effectively utilize and manage all Alfa approved sales and marketing resources to optimize corporate return on investment with appropriate customers.

Develops strategies to enhance territory and assist in district strategies. Seek information on competition, industry trends, discern how this could affect business, and proactively suggest strategies that will positively impact the district team. Assist in building a cohesive team of Sales Reps within the organization.

Maintain a team approach with other Alfa colleagues to maximize appropriate territory activities and accomplish positive results for Alfa and the customer, including distributors, external user customers, internal marketing personnel and internal operations personnel.

Complete all administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner. Adhere to company standards for personal honesty, integrity, trust, respect and accountability. Perform all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable state and federal rules and regulations.

COMPENSATION:  compensation will be based on a combination of a salary and sales commission plan linked to achievement of pre-set sales goals.  It is important to note that a compensation plan to reward accelerated sales goal results will be implemented if applicable based on the candidates previous experience and sales success in a geographic market with these types of products
