Phencyclidine (PCP)
Instant-View® Phencyclidine Urine Drug Test
The Instant-View® Phencyclidine urine drug test is a rapid, lateral flow diagnostic test intended to detect Phencyclidine (PCP) in human urine at a cut-off level of 25 ng/ml. The accuracy rate for this test is 98%. This analyte is US FDA Cleared, CE Marked and available in some OTC Cleared/CLIA-Waived formats.
Phencyclidine is a popular drug of abuse and is self-administered either by smoking, nasal insufflation, intravenous injection or oral ingestion. After administered, PCP can be detectable in human urine for 2-5 days for casual use and for 14-30 days for chronic use. The Instant-View® Phencyclidine urine drug test provides qualitative screening results and is for use by healthcare professionals only. It is recommended that a more specific chemical method (i.e. GC/MS) be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result.
