Alfa-Scan Readers

Then try the Alfa-Scan Multi-Functional Reader and obtain more accurate results with consistent reproducibility time after time. In as little as 5 seconds, the Alfa-Scan will analye the test results and prepare a report. Yes – it’s just that fast.

Using CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) technology the Alfa-Scan Reader takes a high resolution photo image of the test results and analyzes them providing you with a Positive, Negative or Invalid determination. It will then generate a detailed report with test results, photo images, bar graphs with line intensity and references, patient/donor and operator identification as well as a date and time stamp. Perfect for a permanent record of rapid test device results.

Utilizing an RFID tag, the reader is able to distinguish between Drugs of Abuse (where the appearance of a line is negative), and Fertility, Infectious Disease, Cancer Marker and Cardiac Marker tests (where a line represents a positive). Each RFID tag is lot specific – enabling you as the operator to be analyzing the results with the same Quality Control specifications with which we released the product for sale. The RFID tag also ensures that only Alfa Scientific tests can be analyzed on the Alfa-Scan reader as it locks out competitive product.

The Alfa-Scan also features a built in time that can be set to match incubation times of the various test formats/specimens (i.e. saliva, urine, whole blood, serum) giving you the option to perform the incubation time in the reader or on the counter beforehand. The choice is yours.
