The Instant-View® Pregnancy Combo II test is a qualitative immunoassay for the detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in human urine or serum for the early detection of pregnancy at a level of 10 mIU/ml. hCG is a hormone produced by the placenta, which, in normal subjects, provides an early indication of pregnancy. The Instant-View® Pregnancy Combo II test provides a qualitative screening result and is for healthcare professional use only and not for self-testing. A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. The test is available in cassette format only. |
