Instant-View® Methadone Urine Drug Test

The Instant-View® Methadone urine drug test is a rapid, lateral flow immunoassay intended to detect methadone in human urine at a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml. Methadone is similar to morphine; however, methadone produces marked sedative effects with repeated administration as a result of drug accumulation. It has been used as a major substitute for opiates in drug maintenance treatment clinics. Methadone can be detected in human urine for up to 14 days after use. The Instant-View® Methadone urine drug test provides qualitative screening results and is for use by healthcare professionals only. A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. The test is available in cassette and dip strip formats, with the option of being included in the Instant-View® multi-drug screen test. |
