Instant-View® Propoxyphene Urine Drug Test

The Instant-View® Propoxyphene urine drug test is a rapid, lateral flow diagnostic test designed to detect propoxyphene and its metabolite, norpropoxyphene, in human urine at a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml. Propoxyphene is a prescription drug used for the relief of pain and is structurally related to methadone. Norpropoxyphene is a major metabolite of propoxyphene, therefore, it is widely used for the testing of propoxyphene abuse. The Instant-View® Propoxyphene (PPX) urine drug test provides qualitative screening results and is for use by healthcare professionals only. A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. The test is available in cassette and dip strip formats, with the option of being included in the Instant-View® multi-drug screen test. |
